Biography

Deverdon never knew of his family, he was sold as a baby to a slaver and grew up aboard a ship. Throughout his early life he was sold from slaver to slaver, mostly on ships as a cook help/cleaner, until he began showing skill in the rigging. Soon he was sold into to galleys as a rigger where he spend his days in the crows nest and on the rope lines, for years he worked like this, being sold from ship to ship, he loved the sea but he was a prisoner on it. then while working on merchants galley, they were attacked by pirates and Deverdon was forced to fight for his life, wielding a found cutlass and a rope knife he helped clear the deck of attackers, the captain freed Deverdon from slavery.

Deverdon traveled around much in the same way as before, only now he was a free man and choose what ships he would work on. He sepent a good deal of time sailing the Southern oceans taking work on ships here and there as deck hand or as a guard, he mostly stuck to legal work but on occasion  if the right opportunity presented its self Deverdon took it up and pirated.

Deverdon has recently found himself in a port city called Rook, staying at The Golden Plow tavern, were he meet several people who he did odd jobs with for various people of Rook and the City Watch.

Appearance

Deverdon or Dev, walks with a slight swaying motion like he has spent too long on a ship, he has a lopsided grin that is never far from his face.He is tall and wiry with tight muscles and calloused hands, as of late he seems to always be intoxicated but it does not seem to put him in a stupor. A blue compass is tattooed on his right hand, cuffs are tattooed around his writs, an armored figure on a rearing savage looking horse on back of right shoulder, a tattoo of two shadowy hands squeezing a heart on the left side of chest, on his left forearm he has a giant ugly spider rearing on his legs, covering his right forearm is a cloud of mist with grim faces peering out, on his right shoulder is a portrait of a man giving a "You can't be serious" face and on his left shoulder is a happy looking dogs face, across the right ribs are Elvish words saying "Never judge a spiderwoman quickly", on his left bicep is a depiction of a cuddle fish wearing a bowlers cap.
